New Delhi: While it is essential that you do some physical activity everyday to keep the body active and healthy, a choc-o-block calendar can make it an impossible task. Here are ways that you could incorporate into your daily routine that will help you to remain active on days when you miss out on your workouts.

Take your pet for a walk: Pet parents, take your pets for a walk in the parks or in the streets near your house. This will help you to relax while also allowing you the luxury of spending some stress-free time with your pets. You could also foster a pet and spend some time with the pet which will eventually help you to relax from the stress as well as give your body some physical movement.

Use the stairs: This is one of the easiest things that one can incorporate into their daily routine. Using the stairs instead of the elevators helps to increase the heart rate which eventually improves your heart health and increases your strength.

Walking meetings: This is a great way to make some sort of physical movement. If your meeting doesn’t require you to look at your computer screens, a walking meeting could be a great option. Also if it’s not a virtual meeting and instead a one-on-one meeting, both of you can go for a walk.

Exercise during your TV time: You could also incorporate exercise while watching TV. This will help you relax as well as help you meet your workout goals.

Park your car farther away: Instead of taking your car to the nearest parking spot, try and park it a bit far so that you can walk the rest of the distance. This will add to your steps while adding a bit of physical movement.
